Depending on the relevant processes and requirements for the type of visa being applied for, the applicant may need to submit documents to the Consular Section. Additionally, all passports with visas will be returned to the applicant via courier. The courier service is provided through DHL, at no additional cost to the applicant.
To receive documents back from the Consulate (i.e. your passport with visa), the applicant must be registered on this site. To do so, please click on "Log In" at the top of this site. Follow the steps to select Purpose of Travel, preferred DHL delivery location, and other relevant information requested for each applicant.

Details of the general process
- Select DHL location and complete the scheduling of the appointment.
- The DHL location selected will be listed on the confirmation email received after the appointment is scheduled.
- Attend the appointments at the ASC and the Consular Section.
- Once you attend the appointment at the Consulate you cannot modify the DHL office selected at the start of the scheduling.
- Following the appointments, applicants may check this Web site for the Airway Bill number and the status of the return of the documents.
- Once the documents are ready for pickup, the applicant(s) must bring official identification along with the Waybill (AWB) Number to the selected courier location to retrieve the documents.
- Official Identification can be one of the following:
- DNI or LC
- Cedula de Identidad or
- Drivers Licence
- Passports of family members: Father, mother, son, daughter or blood related brothers/sisters: Both ID, (Passport owner and authorized person to pick up) and birth certificate or marriage certificate showing the relationship with the owner of the Passport.
- If a Third party is picking up the documents:
- A letter signed by the Passport owner authorizing the third party to pick up. The letter must include:
- Full name and ID number of the owner and the third.
- In case of picking up more Passports: Information of each person (Full name and ID Number)
- The third party must also attach a photocopy of his/her ID and a photocopy of the Passport owner ID.
- If the third party is picking up the Passport of a minor: he/she has to bring, in addition of the above, a copy of the parent’s ID, a copy of minor’s ID, copy of marriage certificate where shows the inscription of the minor or birth certificate.
To find the status of your documents you must log in to your account in our system and upon viewing the applicant summary page you will see the status of pickup availability. The document status information only appears once your personal documents have been returned by the Consular Section for shipment to your designated DHL location. As the time it takes to adjudicate an applicant's case is at the sole discretion of the Consular Section, we cannot provide you any information regarding when your personal documents will be turned over to DHL.
All applicants may use the standard free courier service to return documents. The documents will be shipped from the Consular Section to a courier branch selected during the registration process on this website.
Applicants can also select Premium Courier Delivery for an additional fee to have the documents returned to a business or home address. Applicants will enter a mailing address and use a credit card to complete the Premium Courier Delivery transaction. The fee is paid per applicant, so in the case of a family the fee must be paid per person.
Should the applicant choose to purchase Premium Courier Delivery, please note that the courier will only go to the address during business hours (Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 6:00PM) and there is no guarantee of an exact date or time the package will be delivered. It is strongly recommended that the documents be shipped to a business address to ensure someone is available to receive the documents.
Premium Courier Delivery Terms and Conditions:
- Courier delivers during business days and hours
- Courier attempts to deliver between 2 or 3 times at the requested address. In case the delivery is not successful the shipment is returned to the default courier branch that was selected during the registration process
- Courier delivers the shipment to whomever is available at applicant´s address (restricted to adults)
- For business address destinations, DHL delivers to the Mailroom, Lobby Security Desk or receptionist, based on the destination office policy
- IMPORTANT: Once you attend to the visa application interview at the Consulate you MUST NOT change the delivery address. The system will accept the change but it will not be reflected in the other systems.

The following status messages will be available to assist in tracking the applicants' documents:
- In Transit
- The applicant’s documents have been picked up at the Consular Section by DHL.
- Ready for Pick-up at Courier Location
- The applicant's documents are available for pickup at the DHL location that was selected.
- Delivered
- The applicant's documents have been given to them at the DHL location that was selected.
- No Package Available for Pickup
- At this time the system does not show that there are documents en route or available for pickup. Please check again at a later time.
Under limited circumstances, an applicant may be required to send documentation to the Consular Section. Please only do this if the Consular Section has instructed you to do so, or if the process to apply clearly indicates that you must submit documentation through courier service. For an explanation of the correct application process, please log into this site, select the Purpose of Travel, and follow the steps to obtain all the information necessary to apply, and to schedule a visa interview appointment if necessary.

When submitting documents, you must use the "DHL Document Submission Form". This form can be obtained from the Confirmation Page and/or Confirmation Email after registering on this Web site.
