Expedited Appointments

Request for Expedited Non-Immigrant Visa Appointment

All applicants requesting an expedited appointment, must have scheduled appointments through this Web site. If you still have not scheduled an Applicant Service Center and a Consular Section appointments, click here before continuing.

Only the following trip purposes will be considered for expedited appointments:

  • Medical Emergency:
    • Urgent medical care is needed in the United States
    • Accompanying an immediate family member who requires urgent medical care
      • Immediate family members include spouse, mother, father, brother, sister, or child.
    • An immediate family member in the United States has a serious medical condition requiring the applicant’s urgent presense.
    • Attending the funeral of an immediate family member
  • Study, Work or Exchange Visitor Visa:
    • Applying for a student or exchange visitor visa and the appointment date is after the beginning of classes or exchange program
    • The I-797 approval notice is recieved and the petitioner requires the applicant’s immediate presence.
    • Note: Summer Work and Travel (SWT) will not be processed through an expedited appointment, please follow the visa application process as normal
  • Other:
    • Unforseen travel requirements in support of business
    • Other cases that may involve travelers going to sports/media events and/or professional conferences or trainings.

The following will not be processed through the expedited appointment process:

  • Tourist (B1, B2) Visas, please attend the scheduled appointment
  • If the appointment date scheduled through this site is prior to the intended travel date

If the applicant meets the criteria above please follow the steps below:

  1. Submit the request for an expedited appointment at http://argentina.usembassy.gov/nonimmigrant_visas/expedited-appointments3.html.
  2. Along with the application documents, the applicant must submit documentary evidence of meeting the criteria above. This must be available at the time of the interview.
  3. Once an emergency appointment has been scheduled, the visa application process will proceed as normal.

Important Note: The applicant will receive the same consideration based on the application and applicable documents as all U.S. Visa applications.
