An expedited appointment can be requested only if the applicant meets one of the requirements:
- An immediate family member has died in the United States or is extremely sick.
- Urgent medical treatment in the United States is needed.
Note: Appointments will not be expedited for any other reason.
Request an Expedited Appointment
The applicant must call the call center to request an expedited appointment. The applicant must be able to provide proof of the nature of the emergency and the need to travel immediately to the United States.
