ATTENTION:
Closure of the VISA Section in Rome
On January 16, 2012 the Visa Section in Rome will begin significant renovations that will permit them to provide better service. These renovations will last until the middle of March. During the renovations, visa applications processed in Rome will be limited to diplomats, government officials, treaty traders/investors and genuine, verifiable emergencies. Rome also will continue to accept applications in categories exempt from the personal appearance requirement: applicants under age 14 and over age 79, and some types of visa renewals.
Visa applicants are advised to plan accordingly by scheduling visa interviews in Rome before January 13, 2012 or scheduling an appointment in Florence, Naples or Milan for interviews between January 16 and mid March.
