IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE PROCESSING OF H2 VISAS
- All H2 applicants are booked through the Group Process.
- For information regarding application procedures for H2 applicants or to book H2 appointments, please email H2BMex@csc.com. Please note that CSC will respond to all routine inquiries within 5 working days (excluding weekends and holidays).
- H2 agents can email H2BMEX@csc.com both to register a petition and to book large blocks of appointments. Please always include in the subject line the consulate where you seek to schedule appointments, your company name and the petition number you are referencing. If no appointments are available at a given consulate, CSC will let you know about nearby consulates where H2 appointments are available.
- In order for the H2 Team at H2BMEX@csc.com to be able to register your petition for access to SWIFT, you will need to provide all of the information listed below. Once the petition has been registered, you may choose to submit an appointment request to H2BMEX@csc.com (see H2 Email Service Description below) or use SWIFT to schedule your appointments on-line.
- The name of the Petitioner as it appears on the I-797
- The complete company US street address, including zip code
- H2A Petitions: the Receipt Number
- H2B Petitions: a scanned copy of the complete I-797 Approval Notice
Please use the following format for your email subject line, for example:
Subject: REGISTER PETITION; H2A; EAC-09-123-12345; My Company, Inc
- H2 applicants are booked through this service for ASC appointments only. No specific consular section interview appointments are booked in the system. The ASC will let the group know when to present themselves for an interview on the following day at the Consulate in the same city as the ASC.
- By loading the fingerprints into the system the day prior to the interview, the Consulate will be able to run all necessary checks and have the complete information at the time of the interview. Border posts will do their best to have the visas printed and returned to the group that afternoon, although that is not always possible.
- The name of the consulate on the I-797 does not determine at which post H2 applicants can apply. All of the 10 Mexico posts are part of a unified consular district, and they all have access to the same database on approved petition information.
- Each applicant must qualify for their visa. If an applicant has any criminal ineligibilities, for instance, the visa may be denied even though the petition has been approved, and the employer could substitute another worker. Historically, the most H2 applicants are approved and do not have such ineligibilities.
- For general information on H2 visa applications, please see http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1271.html.
If you need to schedule emergency appointments and cannot wait up to 5 working days for a response, please first send an email as described above and ensure that EMERGENCY in included in the subject line. Then call and leave a voice mail at 703-889-2690 including the name/email address of the sender of the email that needs to be expedited, the date it was submitted, the petition number, and a contact telephone number and name. CSC will return your call within 24 hours or by the next business day (if you call on Friday or the day before a holiday).
Thank you for your patience and we assure you that we will reply to all inquiries within the schedules outlined above.
