American Citizen Services (ACS) are provided by the Consular Sections at the U.S. Consulates in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. The U.S. Embassy in Pretoria does not provide services to private American citizens. Assistance provided to American citizens residing in or visiting South Africa, includes but is not limited to: Passport services, Consular Reports of Births Abroad, and Notarials. The Consulates also assist in emergenciessuch as deaths, arrests, and crisis situations.
