U.S. Mission in Mexico Appointment Service Transition

The U.S. Mission in Mexico has transitioned to a new appointment service for applicants applying for a visa to come to the United States. We want to ensure applicants are not negatively impacted by the change. If the applicant has already begun the appointment scheduling process, please review the guidance below regarding the switch in services.

ALL APPLICANTS PLANNING TO BEGIN THE U.S. Visa APPLICATION AFTER JANUARY 10, 2011

  • Beginning January 10, 2011, all applicants beginning the application process will visit http://mexico.usvisa-info.com/ to either obtain information on how to apply for a U.S. visa or schedule appointment(s) online or via telephone.
  • Beginning January 10, 2011, all visa applicants will be required to pay the MRV application fee prior to scheduling visa application appointment(s).
  • Beginning January 10, 2011, all visa applicants will be required to complete the DS-160 prior to scheduling visa application appointment(s).

ALL APPLICANTS IN THE PROCESS OF APPLYING FOR A U.S. VISA BEFORE JANUARY 10.

CSC is contacting all applicants who have appointments scheduled prior to January 10, 2011 for a date after January 10, 2011.

If the applicant:

  • Paid the MRV application fee at Banamex, prior to January 10th and did not schedule an appointment:
  • Scheduled an appointment for January 10th or after using the old process but did not pay the MRV:
    • Contacted to schedule ASC and the same Consular Section appointment and received a new appointment confirmation by email:
      • Please click here to download a deposit slip to make a cash payment at Banamex or Scotia Bank.
    • If your Consular Section appointment is less than a week away and you have not been contacted to schedule your ASC appointment, please use the Contact Us button at the top of this page and request assistance.
